Motion controllers have captured lots of attention since the Wii was unveiled and Microsoft showed off its Project Natal a while back. Sony is also working on its own motion controller that was expected to hit early this year.

According to new reports, Sony has pushed the launch of the motion controller back until this fall. There is no word on exactly why the controller was pushed back.

Perhaps it had to do with the fact that the Xbox 360 motion controller resulting from Project Natal was a more interesting device. The Sony system is a want with a colored ball at the end the player holds. Project Natal uses a camera and requires no handheld component.
