For the first time in their 125 year history Dr Pepper will run a Super Bowl commercial on February 7th during Super Bowl XLIV. We already reported about this early, but today the Dr Pepper Snapple Group officially announced their Super Bowl ad plans.

Dr Pepper will advertise Dr Pepper Cherry during Super Bowl XLIV with a new ad featuring "Doctor Love" Gene Simmons joined by Paul Stanley and their KISS band mates.
Plans include downloadable content for consumers on DrPepper.com, as well as engaging with fans via Facebook and Twitter.

Today Dr Pepper celebrates the 125th anniversary of America's oldest major soft drink. This afternoon, Dr Pepper Snapple Group management will honor their marquee brand's birthday by ringing the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange.
Update:
Dr Pepper Super Bowl Ad has Kiss and MiniKiss.

Just like last year, we will be featuring our Super Bowl for Geeks Guide for the Super Bowl 2010. Of course the Super Bowl for Geeks Guide is all about the Super Bowl Ads and not the game. The Super Bowl XLIV takes place on Sunday, February 7th in Florida in the Sun Life Stadium.
