Apple just unveiled the iPad. Yes indeed, Apple calls the Apple Tablet iPad. I hate iPad, it is too close to iPod.
The iPad is a new product positioned between the iPhone and Macbooks.
Update:
Apple iPad is official and starts at $499.
Steve Jobs just said the new Apple Tablet is called iPad and it looks like a giant iPhone. As reported earlier there was some action around iPad in trademark registrations, but I really did not think Apple would go with iPad because of the iPod. Not sure how that will play out.
Update:
So far the iPad Steve Jobs is showing is just a giant iPhone, nice but not revolutionary, but the event just started. The iPad starts at $499.
