Joby Announces Two Flexible Camera Accessories

Joby, maker of such devices as the Gorillapod, today announced two new products, which it plans to showcase at the PMA photography trade show in Anaheim, CA.The first is an improve version of the Gorillapod, called the "Gorillapod Magnetic" (pictured above). This flexible tripod allows users to mount their camera on virtually anything - around a tree, on someone's arm, or atop a bench. The addition of magnetic feet opens up the possibilities even more.

The tripod is only compatible with compact cameras that weight less than 11.5 ounces.

The other new product is the Ballhead X, an accessory for the Gorillapod Focus that adds the ability to pan and tilt the camera while it is mounted on the tripod. It supports up to 11 pounds of weight. It will be sold as a separate device but also as part of a new bundle with the Gorillapod Focus.

Both products will be available this April.
