Last week Palm informed investors, that the web OS smartphones are not selling as well as expected sending the stock on a down spiral.
There is though a lot of potential for Palm to establish them in the smart phone business. In my opinion they need to be quick though to not get run over by Microsoft Windows phones in fall.
Web OS looks fine, but the Pre is just not cool enough. Palm needs to release a Palm Pre II soon that is thinner and sleeker.
eWeek published today a report that features 10 ways on how Palm can make a comeback in the mobile world. There are some excellent points including that Palm should focus more on the enterprise and ignore the iPhone to find the "Palm way".
Palm pioneered the PDA. I would like to see them also succeed in today's smartphone business. More innovators mean better phones for all of us.
