The iPad sales estimates continue to roll on in. We'd been told 120,000 sold on the first day alone, but that number may not be entirely accurate. Now Analyst Daniel Tello has crunched the numbers and come up with a new figure for the pad's total first weekend sales. (via SlashGear)
He says that sales started out at 25,000 per hour, but tapered off to a mere 1,000 per hour across most of Saturday and Sunday. By the end of Sunday night, he estimates the iPad's total sales to be around 152,000. Over the next three weeks of pre-ordering, he expects around a half million reservations to be made.
At this rate, the iPad should hit one million sales during its second week of shipping out. These numbers are still speculative, but Tello seems to have done his math diligently.
