Holy demon gaming-PCs, batman! Maingear has just rolled out an all new high-end machine with some absolutely terrifying specs. (via SlashGear) The Shift packs an Intel Core i7-980x 3.33 GHz hexacore CPU. You could probably hook up a half-dozen monitors and run a game on each with a machine like this.

For storage, the Shift packs a Crucial RealSSD C300 plugged into a SATA 6G connection. It uses USB 3.0 and has special acoustic shielding for the multiple fans. There are quite a few video card options, dual ATI Radeon HD 5970s being the most enticing. There are also options for Blu-ray and up to four internal SSDs. Prices start at $2,299.
