You can't fault Palm for trying, although you might wince a little bit out of sheer pity. Their stock is in near freefall and piles of unsold inventory litter their storage facilities. Make no mistake; times are grim for a certain Sunnyvale, California-based company. Palm isn't going quietly into that good night, though; they've just put out a press release announcing the coming of their webOS to AT&T.
The Palm Pixi and Pre Plus will both be on sale to AT&T's 80 million customers, starting “in the coming months”. The Pre Plus will set you back $149.99, while the Pixi Plus will cost $49.99 (after a $100 rebate). So, is this too little too late, or just in the nick of time? Maybe we'll have a better idea once CTIA 2010 hits.
