This is not the big Sandisk announcement teased for tomorrow, but Sandisk is now shipping their 32GB microSDHC card. Update: SanDisk informed us that this is the big news, which was originally slated for today, March 23rd.
Sandisk has begun shipping the world’s highest-capacity removable memory card for mobile phones – the 32GB SanDisk microSDHC card.
The 32GB SanDisk microSDHC card is available now on SanDisk.com U.S. and European e-commerce sites, with worldwide retail availability to follow next month. The new card comes with a 5 year limited warranty and carries a suggested retail price of $199.99.
The 16GB MicroSDHC card from Sandisk sells right now for around $40 on Amazon. I would stay away from the 32GB version until its pricing drops.
