Nickelodeon released a bunch of new iPhone apps today, not the least of which was a Kids' Choice Awards app that allows users to stream the ceremony live on their phone.

In fact, three different streams will be available, giving iPhone owners a dynamic way to watch the awards show. The 23rd annual Kids' Choice Awards airs this Saturday. The app is free.

In addition, Nickelodeon launched some new titles based on its hit cartoon properties. There are new games based on Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go, and A to Z with Moose & Zee.

My only real question is: do people who watch those kinds of shows really own iPhones? And do parents of youngsters who are young enough to be entertained by Dora really let their kids play with their iPhone?

Regardless, today's announcement is one to add to the growing trend of live content streaming through mobile phone devices. The iPhone has really been leading the way on this front, and Nickelodeon's addition is just the latest one.
