The inaugural Penny Arcade Expo (East) is far from over, but I think it is fair to declare this event a success. Something like 60,000 people signed up to attend and, from the look of things, the vast majority of them showed up. I'm in the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA right now. The center (which is garganrtuan) is packed to the brim with a thousand flavors of nerd.
Last night I attended some excellent panels on the future of gaming, and even had a chance to play around with Asus' new G73 Republic of Gamers laptop. Which, by the way, plays games as smoothly as my Core i7 desktop. I'll be back around the Asus booth later today to try out the rest of their gaming rigs.
In about ten minutes, the expo hall opens up for media only. Keep an eye out for a constant stream of I4U tweets on new products from Asus, Intel, Nvidia, and a whole galaxy of game developers.
