A major exchange located in Paddington, London was flooded, and tens of thousands of customers lost service as a result. BT has stated that it can’t say when service will be restored at this time.
Most of the affected BT users are West Londoners. BT has also confirmed that mobile service might be affected as well thanks to a fire that was caused by the flood. BT is working to reroute the traffic and says that a lot of the traffic has already be rerouted.
