The day has come. Adobe has just launched Photoshop Creative Suite 5. They now have the master collection, production premium, web premium, and design premium editions available for pre-order and for upgrade. As is always the case with Adobe software, it is prohibitively expensive for anyone but a major corporation or school.
The CS5 master collection will set you back $2,600 ($900 for an upgrade), while Production Premium costs $1700 ($600 for an upgrade). Web Premium is $1800 ($600) and the design premium edition is $1900 ($600). Pricing for students has not been released yet, but is likely to be much (much) lower.
