Mean old Steve Jobs and his intuitive, smooth, totally polished iPad may be the reason for the delay of the Lenovo Skylight mini-netbook. Digitimes reports that Lenovo is mainly targeting the iPad as the Skylight's competitor. The delay until July was so that Lenovo could boost the gadget's working performance.

Sources noted that the Skylight's controls are not as smooth as the iPad's. Since both gadgets are targeted towards similar activities, Lenovo fears being compared unfavorably with the iPad. This is a shining example of how competition between excellent companies leads to far better products. Apple's forced Lenovo to spend a little extra time on the Skylight, which should mean a product that much better will launch in July.
