Skype users now have a new webcam to choose from for making video calls. The camera is called the Freetalk Everyman HD. The camera provides video resolution of 720p for crisp video calls.

The webcam is available in the Skype shop now for $49. That is a good price for a webcam with HD resolution. At the time of writing, the camera is still listed as Pre-order on the Skype Shop, but apparently, that will change soon.

The camera has a high performance lens, 24-bit color, and auto exposure and white balance. The camera also has auto focus, and the 720p resolution is supported at up to 22 frames per second. To take advantage of the HD video conferencing capability the user needs a web connection with at least 1Mbps of symmetrical bandwidth.
