Apple seldom announces its acquisition. Information about a company purchase comes in most cases from parties involved. Today word appeared from several sources that Apple has bought Siri. Siri is a voice controlled personal assistant service.
Just like a real assistant, Siri understands what you say, accomplishes tasks for you and adapts to your preferences over time.

MacRumors as compiled several sources that confirm the purchase of Siri by Apple. Getting purchased by Apple gives Siri a lot of credibility. The Siri site is still up and there is a free iPhone Siri app available for download.
Earlier today we reported that it is now confirmed that Apple bought Chip maker Intrinsity.
