Skyfire, today launches Skyfire 2.0 browser for Android. Skyfire 2.0 plays Adobe Flash videos inside the browser.
Clicking the video icon enables you to play Flash videos around the web that otherwise do not play on mobile. When you see an Flash error messages on a page Skyfire displays the videos using HTML5 video.
Skyfire 2.0 for Android also brings the SkyBar, a new toolbar that lets users enjoy millions of videos previously unavailable on mobile, and also discover the latest buzz on any topic they browse.
Based on the screenshot and the video below, the Skyfire 2.0 is not displaying the Flash videos embedded in the web pages. It previews them in a popup window and plays them back fullscreen like the iPhone.
Yesterday Firefox released a preview of Fennec - Firefox for Android. The battle of browsers on Android OS just started.
Skyfire 2.0 is available for Android as free download here.
