The iPad 3G Teardown: Geek Porn

Alright, you filthy reprobates. Set your glasses to “steamed” and your pocket protectors to...you get the point I'm trying to make. The iPad 3G is barely out in stores, and already lustful nerds have gone about stripping it naked and posting the dirty bits up online for all the world to see. Scandalous.
IfixIt took apart a 16 GB 3G iPad and posted pretty much every detail shot you could possibly want. The iPad 3G (which is completely unlocked from any specific carrier affiliations-big change for Apple!) looks pretty much the same as its WiFi-only brother on the outside. The only visual difference is a black plastic RF window.
While the iPad 3G is unlocked, it will only get full 3G support in the US from AT&T. It'll work on T-Mo, but you'll have to use EDGE. Basically, it's a reverse-Nexus One situation. Oh, and the iPad's model number is A1337. To be fair, it is pretty damn l33t.
