HTC EVO Pre-Orders This Month?

We still don't know what the pricing structure will be like for the world's very first 4G phone, but thanks to a Radio Shack ad we at least know that the device is coming soon.

In an online ad from Radio Shack, which details all the features of HTC's much-hyped EVO phone, there is a line that reads, "customers will be able to pre-order the EVO at THE SHACK later this month."

It's a very unassuming ad, but that detail is the first concrete thing anyone has seen about a time frame for the device. We do know that Sprint, the mobile provider for EVO, wants to try to get the phone out to customers in the next couple months.

And apparently Oprah already has one, so it must be pretty much ready for prime time.

Even mobile users on other networks, or Sprint customers who aren't ready for an upgrade, will be watching the reception of the EVO with baited breath. Everyone is waiting to see just how much more powerful the 4G spectrum is than the current 3G network, which powers the mobile Internet connection for virtually all smartphone devices on the market right now.

Download speeds of up to 10x what 3G can offer, plus seamless ability to tether the connection to computers and other devices, make Sprint's flagship 4G phone a very enticing product indeed.
