Yep, we're definitely living in the future. Walgreens is about to start selling home genetics testing kits from Pathway Genomics. These kits allow people to assess their risk of certain genetic diseases, diabetes, and various cancers. Want to know if Alzheimers is waiting in your future? Take the test!
These tests will be sold over-the counter for between $20-$30. You'll spit in the collection cup and send it off to Pathway's lab. The analysis will cost between $79 and $249. That's not exactly cheap, but it is less than most genetic tests go for these days. Pathway kits will be available in every state but New York.
