DuPont Displays has developed a new printing process for OLED displays that could bring down the cost of OLED TVs soon.
DuPont is using a Printer from Japanese Dainippon Screen to print a 50-inch OLED screen in under 2 minutes.
The DuPont OLED screen is supposed to last 15 years. The innovation lies in the active molecules used in the inks to print the 12-15 layers needed for a OLED display. More details on the Technology Review. Via OLED-Display.
