The latest installment to the Dragon Quest series, Sentinels of the Starry Skies, has been given a US release date of July 11th. In Japan, the game has already sold more than 4 million copies.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies is a brand new adventure on the Nintendo DS that, as usual for the series, lets gamers embark on a quest to save the world and battle against a myriad of monsters along the way.
The game's publisher Square Enix has confirmed that downloadable content will be available to expand the experience well after the physical product is released. Best of all, these downloadable quests will be free.
"DRAGON QUEST IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies is one of the biggest games ever to hit Nintendo DS, with an incredible amount of content for every kind of player to enjoy," said Nintendo marketing VP Cammie Dunaway.
