Call me crazy, but I loved Sonic Adventure back on Sega's ill-fated Dreamcast console. So I'm super stoked that I'll be able to download that, along with other Dreamcast classics, on the next-gen systems later this year.
Yep. Ahead of E3, Sega has announced that it will be bringing Dreamcast titles as downloadable games to the PS3 and Xbox 360 beginning this fall. Sonic Adventure will be the flagship game.
Although the Dreamcast was an ultimate flop, discontinued in the US just a couple years after it came out, there were a handful of significant titles.
Games like Phantasy Star Online, the Sonic Adventure series, and Soul Calibur found noted success during the platform's short life cycle.
Sonic Adventure will be hitting the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store in the fall, followed by Crazy Taxi. No other titles have been confirmed at this point. Neither has pricing.
