Early adopters hoping to get their hands on a white version of the iPhone 4 this week will have to wait. Apple has said that only the standard black models will be available at launch.
Update:
White iPhone 4 pushed back to later this year.
"White models of Apple's new iPhone® 4 have proven more challenging to manufacture than expected, and as a result they will not be available until the second half of July," wrote Apple in a statement. "The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected."
The iPhone 4 is launching tomorrow, with hundreds of thousands of consumers expected to get their hands on one either through pre-order fulfillment or by waiting in undoubtedly crazy lines.
I have to say, though, if there ends up being a rush at the Apple Store next month just because there's a different-colored iPhone available, I may have to question everything I believe in.
