The alarm rings. You drag yourself out of bed, hop in the shower, dress and scarf down enough breakfast to power your body through to lunch. As soon as you're ready it's out the door and into the car. You drive off to work, completely oblivious to the fact that your cellphone is still sitting on the bed stand, breakfast table, or wherever you left it.
Odds are, this or something reminiscent of it (with the same end result) has happened to you. That's why Bringrr exists (via Gearlog). This Bluetooth-gadget plugs into your car's lighter socket. When you start up the car, it activates and searches for your phone. If you've forgotten it, Bringrr will give you a loud warning.
Okay, so it isn't the most versatile product in the world. Bringrr represents a creative solution to a real annoyance. Is it worth $35? That depends on how often you forget your phone.
