Samsung Basic Feature Phone is Called the :)...Seriously

Someone at Samsung really thought they were cleaver coming up with the name of the latest messaging feature phone for the US market. The phone doesn't get a snazzy name like Gravity or Galaxy. No, this phone is called the :). I shat you not.

I blame Prince for this. Other than perhaps the dumbest name in the history of mobile phones, the device will be a T-Mobile exclusive along with a new Gravity 3 and Gravity T handset. The :) gets a 1.3MP camera and the Gravity models get 2MP cams.

The Gravity 3 gets an external keyboard and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard whereas the Gravity 3 is a touchscreen device. Who knows if the :) will get a new name eventually; perhaps it will hit AT&T as the Samsung WTF.
