Hey, guess what, Nintendo? You're not the only cool kid on the playground with a mass-market glasses-free 3D device. Aiptek has unveiled the world's first 3D digital photo frame.
Earlier this year, Aiptek launched a 3D digital camera (the i2), and now there's an easy way to display those pictures in their full 3D glory.
Th "Portable 3D Photo and Video Display" not only shows off still images but also 3D video. The technology is in fact the same as that used in the Nintendo 3DS.
This could actually be a way to reinvigorate the digital photo frame market, a market that has obviously become saturated and has totally not been exciting for years.
The 3D frame will be available August 15th for $200, but the i2 camera is out now, so there's plenty of time to build up that 3D media collection.
