Yay, now you can wear 3D glasses to play games on your phone. Oh wait...no, not really; Palm just likes using the phrase "3D" because everyone else is doing it.
Palm today rolled out WebOS update 1.4.5, which enables 3D gaming on all Pre and Pixi phone models.
Games like Need for Speed Undercover and The Sims 3 are part of Palm's initial 3D gaming lineup. It is basically just a graphical, display overhaul that enhances the realism of some mobile games.
The update is an over-the-air download so users should be prompted to install it very soon. The update also fixes a couple glitches with the way the operating system handles downloads, and there are also some functional upgrades as well.
