Samsung was the first one to bring out a fully-working 3D Blu-ray Disc player to the market, but it's a bit pricey at almost $400. The company has just launched 3 new players that make 3D viewing a bit more affordable.
The BD-C5900 from Samsung is now the cheapest Blu-ray player available that can play Blu-ray 3D movies today. It is only $230.
Samsung also launched the BD-C6800 for $280 and the BD-C7900 for $400. The latter has dual HDMI outputs.
Sony currently has the cheapest "3D-ready" Blu-ray players, with models starting at just $200. However, they are not yet fully equipped to output a 3D picture and are awaiting a firmware update from Sony that should happen in September.
For PS3 owners who do not like the idea of buying a brand new Blu-ray player, Sony's game console will also get a Blu-ray 3D playback update in September.
