If you own a Sony A-mount DSLR or E-mount lens camera, most of your lenses will work with the new VG10 camcorder right out of the box. The depth of field is very shallow on the camera allowing for a cinematic look for the film. Recording resolution is 1080p at 24Mbps. The camera comes with an 18-200mm lens good for 11x optical zoom and it has autofocus and SteadyShot stabilization. The camera also has a 3-inch LCD that swivels and tilts.
The camcorder also has manual control for all settings like Iris, shutter speed, gain, and white balance. The camera also comes with a download voucher for Sony Vegas movie Studio HD Platinum 10 editing software. Video is recorded to memory Stick Pro-HG Duo HX memory cards, SDHC, and SDXC cards as well. The camera will ship in September for about $2,000.
