If you use an Android smartphone a new browser from Opera is available for download on the Android market. The browser is Opera Mini 5.1. The new browser version has some new features that should make it appealing to many users.

Opera says that the new version is much faster for loading web pages thanks to the fact that it compresses data up to 90% before sending the content to the phone. That means faster page loads and less money spent on data.

Opera claims that loading a page like BBC News is 9 times cheaper with Opera 5.1 than other browsers. The new version is also able to be set as the default browser on Android phones and is optimized for larger screens.
