It is the little Flash game that could: Plants vs Zombies, once an obscure, simple little game that users could play online, has become something of a phenomenon and is now headed for the console world.
The game's publisher PopCap today confirmed that there is a retooled version of the point-and-click tower defense game coming to the Xbox Live Arcade this fall.
In addition to 2 new multi-player modes and 21 brand new mini-games, the Xbox 360 version will feature achievements, so fans of the PC game can now get some gratification for their hard work at shooting zombies' heads off with vegetable guns.
"With a ton of new features and content exclusive to the XBLA version, we've pulled out all the stops to both expand and optimize this adaptation for a hard core gaming audience," said PopCap man in charge Ed Allard.
Plants vs. Zombies was released earlier this year on the iPhone and iPod Touch, where it quickly became the fastest-selling iPhone game to date.
The game will be available for 1200 Microsoft Points ($15).
