A budget version of the version of Microsoft's Xbox 360 console will indeed be coming to the UK, with a modest 4 GB hard drive, for around £150.
Speculation about an entry-level Xbox 360 Slim came up when the 4 GB model first showed up on Amazon Germany, and then became clear when Microsoft announced the Kinect hardware bundle, which comes with the motion camera controller as well as a 4 GB Xbox 360.
Now it appears that the low-capacity system will also be available standalone as well. And it will be coming out much sooner than the version that comes with Kinect.
While the Kinect bundle won't be out until November, the standalone 4 GB unit will be available in August.
The console will look exactly like its 250 GB brother, except instead of a glossy black finish it will be matte black, so you won't look nearly as cool but at least you won't have to pay as much money either.
