Dell Resolves XPS 1645 Throttling Issues with BIOS and Power Supply Updates

Back at the beginning of the year, Dell offered up a new notebook computer called the Studio XPS 1645. The machine had decent specs and should have worked well for users, but many had issues with throttling of performance under certain conditions.

Dell admitted there was an issue with the machines in February. The computer giant has finally offered up a solution to the throttling issue on the notebooks.

The resolution includes a new BIOS update that can be downloaded and a new power supply. The notebooks originally shipped with a 90W power supply and Dell is going to replace those for free with 130W power supplies.
