The new HDDs include the MKxx61GSY family aimed at high-performance computing environments with capacities of 160GB to 640GB. Toshiba has also unveiled a new high-durability line of HDDs for 24x7 operations called the MKxx61GSYB series in 80GB to 500GB capacity.
The final of the new HDDs unveiled is a self-encrypting drive with government grade security features. The SED drive will ship later, but the GSY will land in Q3 2010 with the GSYB line shipping in Q4.
