Huge Samsung Announcement: August 11th

The Samsung Galaxy tablet and a new PMP based on the Galaxy design may see their announcement on August 11th. CrunchGear reports that they have received an invitation for a major event early next month.

Tim Baxter, president of Samsung America, will be speaking at the event. There will be an opportunity to "see new products". If the tablet is announced at this event, we can probably expect a launch around October. Expect to see it pack a 1 GHz processor, 7" display, WiFi, GPS, and two cameras.
