Samsung appears to be cooking up a unique tablet design. Unwired View reports that a patent application for a tablet with a rear touchscreen input device has been spotted.
The rear touch sensor will enable new methods of gesture-based control and different operational patterns. For example, you'd be able to pinch zoom with one thumb on the front side and the other on the back. As novel as this sounds, I can't think of any ways in which this would be more efficient than the current manner of doing things. Also, setting this thing down on a table would be a pain in the butt.
