A lot of small gaming computer makers have been offering USB 3.0 updates for a while if you were willing to pay for the upgrade. Many of the USB 3 add-in cards use one of the vacant PCI slots in the rear of the computer.

iBUYPOWER has announced today that it is now offering free USB 3.0 upgrades across its entire line of gaming desktops. That means that buyers will be able to use faster storage solutions and other hardware with their computers.

It's not clear if the USB ports offered in the desktops are built into the mainboard or added via a PCI slot. The USB 3.0 ports are backwards compatible with older USB specs.
