Apple is rumored to already having iPhone prototypes with NFC technology in testing according to a report on TechCrunch. NFC (Near Field Communication) allows for instance contact free mobile payment.
Earlier this week a report appeared that Apple is hiring an NFC expert named Benjamin Vigier. So it is almost certain that Apple is fully engaging into NFC adoption. If Apple will already roll this out in the next iPhone 5 in 2011 is possible, but not sure.
