Buy Windows CE from Amazon Cyber Monday and Black Friday Now

Pharamcy CVS is apparently pushing this Holiday Shopping season into consumer electronics. Of course they operate on the low-end, but it is kind of interesting what they are offering along meds. Engadget got two scans that show a $99.99 Sylanvia netbook and a wireless eBook reader dubbed LookBook.

Before you get too excited the Sylvania netbook is a Windows CE machine and has only a 7-inch screen. Similar devices have popped up at retail chains also last year and you can actually buy one on Amazon for $105 right now. If it would be an Android Netbook it would be much more interesting.

The LookBook eBook reader is a risky offer by CVS. The eReader has a price above that of the Amazon Kindle. It tries to impress with a 7-inch colore screen, wireless, 512MB storage and full keyboard. It comes pre-loaded with 150 books. The ebook supplier is kobobooks.

CVS starts to advertise the LookBook end of September. This could be some indication that Black Friday sales will indeed start earlier this year. I don't see CVS to cut the price of these two products during the holiday shopping season. They will push them again and again starting end of September.

Update:

The $99.99 Sylvania netbook is on sale now at CVS and already got reviewed. Get the details.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
