Samsung's new Galaxy-based tablet looks to be one of the most impressive iPad competitors due out in the near future. While most of the earlier rumors named it as the "Galaxy Tab", new info reveals it to have a very different moniker. OLED-Display reports that the Tab will be called the Galaxy Pad or, perhaps, the GalaxyPad.
There will be 7" and 10" versions, which is a rumor we've heard before. That name is apparently fixed for the Korean market, but could change in the US. Expect to see a 1 GHz processor, Android 2.2, TFT LCD display, 5 MP camera & 16 GB of internal storage at launch. WiFi and the ability to expand to as much as 32 GB is also rumored. No hard pricing exists, but the 7" version could be no costlier than a Galaxy S.
