Digg founder Kevin Rose posted over the weekend a list of reasons why the rumored Apple iTV will change everything. I totally agree. Apple's first attempt to enter the living room was not really inspiring. I am talking about the Apple TV. Mine is catching dust and it is actually unplugged. An iOS powered iTV promises a TV experience that is powered by apps. TV shows could have their own apps that provide more than just the TV episodes. I hope Apple allows Netflix, Hulu and others to offer their streams on the iTV as well along with the iTunes offering.
Kevin Rose sees the iPad as the main remote control for the iTV. I would be prefer that i can control everything on the iTV with the iPhone.
The most optimistic rumors see Apple unveil the new Apple TV in September at the still not confirmed annual media event.
