Apple will hold its Fall music related media event tomorrow. The hottest rumor is about a new iPod nano with a tiny square touchscreen. The rumor stems from leaked cases for a square iPod nano. Earlier this year we have seen iPhone 4 prototypes appear in Asia as well as an iPod touch with camera. Apparently Apple has closed these leaks that most likely were at Apple's manufacturing partners.
We are now back to the usual scenario, where we get to see leaked cases of possible new Apple products. In the past these cases have not always been real. It is therefore still uncertain if a square touchscreen iPod nano is in production at Apple and if Apple will actually unveil it tomorrow.
A tiny square touchscreen iPod nano is though a hot idea and it could be quite a nice gadget.
The iPod touch with camera and retina display is almost certain to be unveiled tomorrow. There is just too much evidence and it is just natural for the iPod touch line to catch up to the iPhone.
