According to the Financial Times Sony is unveiling today a new music and video service to compete with Apple's iTunes. Sony is supposed to unveil the new media service today at their IFA 2010 press-conference. Apparently the new service is not going to launch this year. We will have to wait until 2011 for the launch as Sony still needs to make the deals with media companies.
Sony had already a media service with Connect in Europe. The service got close in 2007. What will be different this time around? Also it is a very bad day to announce anything as Apple is holding their media event today. All announcements will be buried in what Steve Jobs is introducing to the world today.
The IFA 2010 Consumer Electronics Show will take place in Berlin from September 3rd to September 8th. The IFA 2010 is celebrating the 50th edition and we will be reporting about all the new announcements. Stay tuned for tons of 3D TV related news.
