Apple unveiled the new iPod touch with retina display and FaceTime video conferencing last week. The new iPod touch is shipping this week. 9 to 5 Mac found another interesting tidbit about the new iPod touch. Apple added a vibrating alert option to the new iPod touch. So in case someone calls you on FaceTime your iPod touch can notify you silently.

The new iPod touch 4G is really very close to what you get with the iPhone 4. The only real difference is the voice call part and 3G connectivity. Everything else is there. Read up on all new iPod announcements in our Apple Hub.
