Fujitsu has announced a new Lifebook convertible tablet computer called the Lifebook T580. The tablet has a swiveling screen that lets it be used like a notebook or a tablet depending on the needs of the user.
The screen is a 10.1-inch unit and the tablet has USB ports, SD card slot, and a SmartCard reader. Other features include a webcam, VGA output, and HDMI out. The new machine runs an Intel Core processor rather than an Atom netbook CPU typically seen in 10.1-inch machines.
The T580 can be had with optional embedded 3G/UMTS broadband modem and GPS. WiFi and Bluetooth are included as well. Shipping globally is set for November at an undisclosed price.
