Google TV will be in American homes very soon. Reuters reports that CEO Eric Schmidt has informed them that GTV will hit the US in autumn and go worldwide next year. This service will allow full Internet browsing through the TV for free. Sony has already agreed to put the service on their TVs, and Samsung is looking into the matter.
Schmidt also stated that Google will be announcing partnerships with several manufacturers later this year for Chrome OS tablets. The retail price of a Google TV box is believed to be around $300. You can read more about Chrome OS tablets here.
