Here's an interesting rumor from the folks at Phandroid. They report that, last week at CES, Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha gave some clues as to the future of the Droid. (PCMag) Jha stated that a new version of the Droid with an "improved keyboard" was on the way. Sadly, we have no more specifics than that.

Phandroid thinks this could be a reference to the Nexus One Enterprise Edition, but I very much doubt that. You can't "improve" upon a keyboard that isn't there. One of the things that the Droid has consistently been nailed on has been its sub-par keyboard. Since the Droid is Moto's flagship device right now, it makes sense they'd want to perfect it as much as possible. No other 'improvements' were mentioned, but we can at least hope for a zippier processor and an OLED screen.
