Ultrasone has unveiled a new set of headphones called the Pro 2900 that are offered in two versions. For the first time ever Ultrasone has released two different versions of the headphones with one being a standard single cable version like we are all used to seeing.
The other version of the headphones is a dual cable balanced set designed to be used with a balanced amplifier. The dual cable version will only work with a balanced amplifier. Both versions have the same open back design and 40mm titanium-plated drivers. The headphones are shielded to reduce the amount of radiation that reaches the listener by up to 98%.
Features include S-Logic Natural Surround Sound Plus, a frequency range of 6-42.000 Hz. The impedance is 40 ohm, the sound pressure level is 96dB, and the headphones weigh 295g minus the cord. The headphones come with removable cables and a hard-sided case with the standard version costing $549 and the dual cable costing $799.
