Epson is mostly known for its line of consumer printers that tend to max out cost wise in the $500 range. The company also makes a full line of professional grade printers for making all sorts of large format prints for ads and other uses.

Epson has unveiled its new high-end printer called the Stylus Pro 4900. The printer starts at $2495 and uses ink jet technology. With ink cartridges for the consumer printers at about $30 each, I would hate to know what the ink for this thing costs. The printer uses Epson UltraChrome HDR Ink technology for a wide color gamut. The print heads have ten channels for accuracy.
